I loved everything about our stay. The property is set in a fabulous countryside setting, immersed in nature in a tranquil, quintessential village. It was everything I hoped for and was looking for in my visit in the Cotswolds. The grounds of the property are just beautiful - we were able to enjoy them thanks to the beautiful weather in April - walking around and reading books in the garden enjoying the sun. The interior of the property was nothing short of cozy & welcoming - we enjoyed some tea in the bar and was just lovely. As this was an anniversary trip, the hotel upgraded our room which was a very much appreciated gesture on their side. Our room was comfortable, airy and large with room to put our luggages and replenished daily with tea and cookies. Breakfast was fantastic as well - with cold and food options available. A note of mention goes to the wonderful staff which was welcoming, warm and helpful throughout all our stay - even leaving a note in the room for our anniversary. We left the property refreshed and very happy. I personally did much research ahead of our trip to the Cotswolds and if you're like me, I'll say stop - pick this hotel and don't go any further. Should I come back to the Costwolds, this will be my first accomodation choice.

Lords of the Manor in Upper Slaughter is in one of the most idyllic locations on the planet, and the walk from the manor to Lower Slaughter should be on every bucket list. The manor itself and the rooms are on par with its stated star rating and they well met expectations. Food is delectable (we had dinner and afternoon tea) and plentiful. Service and staff is hit or miss depending on who you interact with, for example the gentleman at dinner was exceptional, while one of the ladies at tea questioned our request for water. Water! (we had half of bottle on the table for four people). Check-in and checkout were both expedient and efficient, both very competent individuals. The only downside is that front desk called both mornings for breakfast despite a request at check in not to do so, a request I watched the welcoming and extremely hospitable gentleman at check-in clearly document. I’m not docking the rating for this as I believe it was well intended, but a customer request is just that. Still, this manor is dear to our hearts and we look forward to yet another return.

The whole experience from beginning to end was extremely enjoyable, the staff were professional but friendly and always with a smile. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building in well kept gardens that we are sure would only improve with the approach of summer, the interior was beautifully designed and very clean. Our room was well equipped, the bed comfortable…lovely bed linens! Molton Brown in the bathroom and a lovely big shower, special mention to Sydney and the reception team, Service staff for breakfast and dinner and the kitchen for an amazing dinner to celebrate a birthday and Housekeeping for all your hard work! A thoroughly enjoyable stay, would highly recommend. Thank you to all.

Everything, from when we made the booking we got a call straight away from a lovely and very professional gentleman who wanted to thank us for booking and checking in with us on any special requirement, allergies, our dogs name etc, such a personal touch which already made us look forward to our stay . Check in was another experience, lovely girl who made us feel so welcome, she was very professional and still very personal and engaging - fantastic staff, lovely rooms, beautiful, surroundings, 5 star in my opinion and we can’t wait to come back.

Travelled with a friend and felt like we were in a quaint English movie. The location was absolutely perfect and the rooms and shared areas brilliantly decorated. We were served tea in the garden and it all felt rather wonderful. The bar snacks were lovely, the grounds well kept and one can take some rather lovely walks around the hotel. Beds were comfortable, with great linens, bathroom was spotless and we had a great night's sleep as the other guests were quiet and the location is very quiet itself.
